Antwerp has more than enough places to choose from - so to help you out we compiled a list of our favorite and top places to dine. We are always on the look out for new venues to try out. Then there are those few favorites that we go back to again and again (budget permitting). Some of the spots we recommend are not on the regular tourist itinerary or in the guide books - so be prepared to step off the beaten track and mingle with the locals. Daniel, who wrote most of the reviews, is a certified cook and used to be a chef in several fancy venues in Antwerp - so he knows his food :) ... and me? I am more than very very happy to accompany him on his tasting explorations ... mainly for the sake of research of course ;)

All of those places have a laid back atmosphere and good food. Number one on our list has a great view, and a very big patio - since your sitting on the Grote Markt! If it's too crowded try the second floor for an even better view. Steak you’ll find it in almost everywhere – a standard dish on every menu. However, although you can find steak everywhere - If you want choice and really good steak try one of the
exceptional Steakhouses on our list.
