This 4 star hotel is ideally situated in old town. This art deco building used to be a huge department store until the late eighties.

I came here quite often and it’s here that I discovered the first CDs - we still played singles in those days.


Times do change and instead of a good department store it’s now one of the finest (and most expensive) hotels in town.

But I’ve read you can have a deal in the weekends so always check online for cheap rooms. The rooms are nice and comfortable. We were invited here a few months ago and no complaints what so ever. And what a great breakfast! ☺

The food here is excellent. They have one of the best chefs in town (funny enough he’s Dutch) working here for years now.
