In search of a Antwerp Belgium hotel? As in any destination city there are all kinds of hotels from which to choose. When travelling it’s often difficult to choose the right hotel for your budget. One thing that helps is comparing two (or more) facilities and seeing which offers the best value for your euro.
Here is a peek at 4 hotels that are on the periphery of Antwerp city core:
Budget Antwerp Belgium Hotel:
Hotel Scandic Antwerpen is about 10 minutes by car from the Antwerp airport. Considered somewhat of a leisure hotel, it attracts business travelers and those tourists wanting a little more bling in their hotel like a gym, sauna and swimming pool. There’s an eat-in restaurant, bar, and a total of 14 conference rooms.
Overall a comfortable, clean Antwerp Belgium hotel with multi-lingual staff. They like the location and the fact that the prices seemed very reasonable. Even the parking is a little less than the norm, coming in at 11 EUR
For options in large hotels, hotel Corinthia Antwerp certainly doesn’t disappoint. You’re only 10 minutes from city center with numerous options for transportation. The hotel has over 200 rooms and 5 suites. The higher floors provide great views. For the business traveler their banquet facilities can hold upward of 550 people.
Corinthia has an on-site restaurant with a selection of international food. There’s also a relaxing garden terrace where you can unwind at the end of the day. In terms of amenities you’ll enjoy a gym, sauna, voice mail. Satellite TV, and laundry facilities just to name a few.
Antwerp Docks Hotel has 78 rooms along with apartments with kitchens. The upkeep inside the Docks leaves something to be desired. It’s not well kept, and hasn’t been updated in a very long time. Wi-Fi only works on the main floor, so take your computer with you to breakfast.
Located in an industrial zone (mind you the cost for rooms reflects this and makes it budget-friendly) you only have to walk about 5 minutes to reach a bus or tram.
If you really have limited funds, then the Docs will suit for a short stay. Travellers on a budget can buy their own foods and cook in, using the money saved for more sightseeing.
Right next to a Novotel is the F1 hotel. We don't know much about this particular location. It's located at Luithagen-Haven 2 . 2030 Antwerpen, Belgium and is rather difficult to pindown online.
It's a chain hotel that’s designed for economy. The facility offers all you can eat breakfast but only until 9:30 am. The rooms have a desk, cable TV, double beds or bunk beds and a sink. You do not get a shower or toilet – those are in a common hallway. Mind you, for 35 EUR a night you can’t expect the “Ritz”. The Formula 1 chain does accommodate pets.
